TOUR 1 MONDAY, MAY 10
Explore the World Famous Nationality Rooms, Heinz Chapel, and Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens with Lunch

You will be met with a warm greeting at the Sheraton Station Square to start your tour. A short ride from the hotel takes you to your first stop at the Nationality Classrooms at the University of Pittsburgh. These internationally famous rooms are gifts to the University from the city’s ethnic groups. Of museum quality, often designed by architects abroad, the functioning classrooms adapt Classical, Byzantine, Romanesque, Baroque, Renaissance, Tudor, Empire, and folk styles to recreate cultural periods prior to 1787.
Next, you will visit Heinz Chapel, which was a gift to the University of Pittsburgh from Henry John Heinz and his children. The Chapel is an example of French Gothic architecture which has 23 stained glass windows by Charles Connick.
Moving on, you will visit the Phipps Conservatory where you will enjoy a fresh lunch at the Phipps Café, and then escape to the 13 rooms of paradise under glass! Butterflies in flight, lush tropical fruits and spices, dazzling seasonal floral displays, and enchanting garden pathways await, all just in time for the Spring Flower Show! Phipps Conservatory is one of the largest and finest Victorian glasshouses in the country.
And finally, you can sit back as the day will be concluded with a relaxing Driving Tour of the Golden Triangle of Pittsburgh before you head back to the hotel.
