Best Student Paper Award
Rules for Best Student Paper Award
- A paper is eligible if the first author is a full-time student (enrolled in Undergraduate, Masters or Ph.D. program in US as well as internationally) at the time of submission or has completed a graduate program no more than a year before submitting a paper.
- The student must be the first author.
- In order to be considered for the competition, the author and his/her advisor (if any) must provide the following information at the time of final accepted paper submission by email to Kostadin Ivanov (kni1@psu.edu):
- Confirm eligibility for the Award according to the Rules 1 to 2;
- Select to participate in the competition.
- The conference can elect to cancel the competition if there are fewer than three eligible participating papers.
- The conference program committee (PC) will select up to three candidate papers from the eligible participating papers based on the review comments of the draft paper. Then PC will decide on the Best Paper based on the final full versions of the selected candidates.
- Any PC member serving as the coauthor of a participating paper or having any other conflict of interest will be excluded from the reviewing and judging participating papers.
- Three Awards (First place, Second Place and Third place) will be announced and presented at the conference.
The prizes for the three places are:
First place - $ 1000 and a certificate
Second place - $ 750 and a certificate
Third place - $ 500 and a certificate
Student Participation Assistance Award
Sponsor: Reactor Physics Division of ANS
In order to facilitate US student participation in the conference 10 awards of $ 200 each will be given to students who want to participate in the conference and assist in conducting the conference sessions. Eligible candidates are full-time students (enrolled in Undergraduate, Masters or Ph.D. program in US) at the time of conference.
In order to be considered for the competition, the candidate must provide the following information at the time of her/his registration for the conference by email to Kostadin Ivanov (kni1@psu.edu):
- Confirm eligibility for the Award according to the Rules given above;
- Select to assist in conducting the conference sessions.
The ten awards will be given based on confirmed eligibility and on the first-apply basis.
